Located 31km north of Barrhead (112km northwest of Edmonton) Vega offers excellent camping in central Alberta, close to the Athabasca River.

Explore the area's flora and fauna, with opportunities to pick wild blueberries. Fish in the Athabasca river, the largest river in Canada, or see what the many trails have to show, whether on foot or joining up with one of the horseback riding tours available near by.

Unique to Vega, areas of sandy terrain provide some exhilarating off road experiences. Dirt biking and other all terrain vehicles may be used in designated areas for some adrenaline pumping fun.
